NEW PHILADELPHIA ‒ Three people are joining the management team of RTY Inc., which operates rides, concessions and the amphitheater at Tuscora Park.

Lindsey Nicholson is becoming concession stand manager. A 12-year veteran of the stand, she began working there as a college student and in recent years served as adult supervisor. She will be responsible for recruitment, training and scheduling of the staff, mostly area teenagers.
A teacher at Tuscarawas Central Catholic High School, she also serves on the staff of the New Philadelphia High School marching band.
Joe Stephon has been named rides operation manager, and Jim Hobart is now rides maintenance manager. Assisting Stephon in ride operations will be Ed Norman and Alicia Norman. Hobart’s son, Ty, is assisting in maintenance responsibilities.
Stephon is employed by the East Central Ohio Educational Service Center as a teacher at the STAR Alternative School in New Philadelphia.
Hobart is about to retire from his full-time job in the Dover cemetery department. He has worked as a maintenance assistant on the vintage Tuscora Park rides for many years.
Jordyn Starkey, manager of the Park Place Youth Center, will become RTY operations director. She will support the other RTY managers, especially in the area of employee timekeeping, ride management documentation and financial reporting. The youth center will continue to be her primary focus.
Greg Rees, of New Philadelphia, was elected chairman of the board of directors earlier this year. A retired engineer, he has spearheaded the complete rebuilding of the century old Ferris wheel and had a hand in helping other Tuscora Park rides comply with more stringent state of Ohio regulations for their operation and maintenance.
