Son charged with the murder of Enterprise father, arrested in Colorado; EPD

ENTERPRISE, Ala (WDHN) — Authorities in Colorado have arrested an 18-year-old from Enterprise after police say he shot his father to death.

According to Enterprise Police, Ethan Stuckey was arrested in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on a warrant for the murder of his father, 42-year-old Russell Stuckey.

Members of the Colorado Springs Fugitive Task Force, Colorado Springs Colorado PD, and ATF arrested Ethan Stuckey in the early morning of April 8 without incident after an all-night investigation between Enterprise Police and Colorado authorities.

According to a press release from Captain Billy Haglund, on April 7, police responded to a home in the 300 block of Daleville Avenue at 6:00 p.m. after Enterprise Fire discovered a body, Russell Stuckey, at the location after being called to investigate a gas leak.

EPD detectives determined the cause of death to be at least one gunshot wound to the upper body.

Authorities will soon begin working on the extradition process to bring Ethan Stuckey back to Enterprise.
