A Canadian startup called Nuula that is aiming to build a super app to provide a range of financial services to small and medium businesses has closed $120 million of funding, money that it will use to fuel the launch of its app and first product, a line of credit for its users.

The money is coming in the form of $20 million in equity from Edison Partners, and a $100 million credit facility from funds managed by the Credit Group of Ares Management Corporation.

Gilbert, Rangers icon, remembered at service in New York

Rod Gilbert was remembered both emotionally and light-heartedly Tuesday by family, friends and former teammates, the life, career and legacy of the New York Rangers icon celebrated at the Church of St. Monica in Manhattan.

Disability Service Providers Shuttering In Many States

Half of states are reporting that Medicaid home and community-based services providers have closed since the start of the pandemic, with many seeing multiple types of services shut their doors.

In a survey of Medicaid home and community-based services programs in 41 states that was conducted through mid-July, 25 reported that at least one provider had permanently closed.

The findings come in a report released recently from the Kaiser Family Foundation.

VTA expands light rail services after mass shooting

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) — The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority announced its light rail service will expand beginning this weekend.

Beginning Sunday morning, VTA light rail service will expand to include the entire Blue Line from Baypointe to Santa Teresa — including all stops in between.

A Senate committee has heard that Services Australia staff were forced to revert back to Excel spreadsheets to rectify some of the errors made by Centrelink’s automated income compliance program.

The remarks were made on Friday during a hearing held by the Community Affairs References Committee as part of its ongoing probe of Centrelink’s compliance program.

Allen County will pursue a contract with a private company to provide countywide ambulance services starting in 2022.

County commissioners voted, 2-1, Tuesday to negotiate solely with American Medical Response, and to let its existing EMS contract with the City of Iola expire on Dec. 31.
